Sweater Weather, But Make It Metabolic

A couple weeks ago I asked you guys on Instagram what you could use some help with right now, and meal ideas were HIGH on the list.

Recipes, yes. But also the 'this isn’t really a recipe so much as I put 5 things on a plate or in a bowl'.

I can help with that.

I had a bonus new fall recipe collection ready to surprise my members inside The Metabolic Edge last week, and I figured…why not share this one with everybody?

Fall officially started last week. The air is cooler (at least here in NY, it is). The timing is right. Also, I’m still very much still in deep with this whole neck situation, so a short + useful blog post sounds about right this week.

If you missed it, here's the post I shared last week after getting my MRI results and giving the full run-down.

I’m writing this the day after that post. I’ve since had the epidural steroid injection, but that’s the only update I have right now. This comes out five days from now, though, so there’s a decent chance by the time you're reading this, the plot has continued. 😂 I’ll keep you guys updated over on Instagram posts + stories as I know more.

ANYWAY. I made you food. A whole collection of cozy fall recipes, built the way I like to build meals around here for fat loss, muscle  Every single one has:

20+ grams of protein
20 grams of fat or less
5+ grams of fiber
35 grams of net carbs or less

There are breakfasts, lunches + dinners. Omnivore-friendly options. Plant-based options. One-pan situations. Some recipes that are a little more fun when you’re in the mood to really cook.

Then there are the under-5-minute, throw-stuff-together some-things-together meals for days when cooking is just not happening.

SWEATER WEATHER, BUT MAKE IT METABOLIC

And here's a printer-friendly version.

Hope you find some new favorites! 💜

Stay wild + well,
Tara

P.S. Speaking of The Metabolic Edge…

Doors are OPEN today + tomorrow for October. 👀

If you're not in there yet and you've been thinking about joining us, this is your window.

We have a couple of REALLY good workshops coming up. If knowing how + when to reverse diet in your body recomp. journey and figuring out how to keep your nutrition from going completely sideways when life throws you an injury, illness, travel, kitchen renovation, or other assorted nonsense are interesting to you…you’re gonna love October.

But the biggest value of TME isn’t any one workshop or workout. It’s the coaching. It’s having a place to get to ASK your questions instead of Googling yourself into 14 conflicting answers. It's the other women.

It’s having ongoing access to me as an RN, health + nutrition coach, personal trainer and Certified Menopause Practitioner to help you figure out how all of this applies to you.

Plus the full workout programming, nutrition resources, recipes, monthly missions, community + the whole library of everything we’ve already done inside.

All for $59 / month. With no contract.

If you’ve been piecing this stuff together on your own for long enough, come let me help! Doors close tomorrow.

COME JOIN US INSIDE THE METABOLIC EDGE

P.P.S. Have I mentioned there's whole self-paced metabolism course in there too? You can follow it week-by-week (4 weeks) or binge it or stroll through. I'm not letting you continue to be frustrated or feel defeated. You have body + health goals to reach and I'm pulling out ALL the stops. We're doing this.

Why is protein so important? It's very common for people to come up short on protein and overdo the carbs and / or fat. While all 3 macros have their purpose and their place, our food supply and food culture is not an accurate representation of our needs in terms of a balanced and optimal way of eating. Look, while 400g carbohydrates and 50g of protein in one day might TASTE a lot better and light up our dopamine receptors, that imbalance sure as heck won't be allowing people to reach their health and body goals.

Protein helps us repair damaged cells, build muscle, keep our hormones and gut healthy and working for us, boosts metabolic rate, and helps us feel satisfied between meals so we're not crashing and snacking on whatever comes into sight.

If you've liked this series and are ready for customized nutrition, fitness, and health coaching to achieve your goals, CHECK OUT MY 1:1 COACHING PROGRAM here.

If you're not yet ready for 1:1 coaching (I know ... it's a commitment!) but would like a more targeted approach than these recipe collections, GRAB MY SPRING FAT LOSS MEAL PLAN. This plan isn't just high enough in protein, but I balanced the heck out of the entire thing (all the macros from meal to meal AND day to day) to provide you with the optimal amount of carbs - to fiber - to fat - to protein ratio for most people when boosting metabolism, losing excess body fat, and building muscle is the goal. You'll actually get 2 plans -- one plant-based and one omnivore -- and they both happen to be free of gluten and dairy.

This meal plan is the closest thing to group coaching that I'm offering this month as I have some big + exciting projects underway (that I think you're gonna LOVE!) and could not add a group coaching session to this month's calendar. So if you have summer body goals, screw that! ;-) How about forever body / health goals instead? GRAB THE PLAN and enjoy what happens when your blood sugar, hunger hormones, and metabolism begin to synch up the way they so desperately want to.

Until next time ....

XO,
Tara
